Freelance designers and artists must  promote their work in as many platforms as possible to gain exposure and attract more clients for their services. To achieve this purpose, aside from printing out their works and binding them in a portfolio, they must upload their works at different online portfolio sites.

Below is a free infographic that discusses the significance of using online sites to promote a designer’s portfolio and enumerate the best sites where they can upload and display their works.

Definitely to gain visibility freelancers should go for a free online portfolio . It will help them to attract more clients. There are many websites offering these services and you should choose the best service.

You are forgetting quite a lot of (quite big) online portfolio tools : Jimdo, Portfoliobox, Wix, Cargo, etc. I have never tried Wix, but both Jimdo and Portfoliobox have a Free version. Cargo is like a community, I think you need to apply to get a portfolio.
